Our Services
Catering
We offer full service catering including setup prior to the event, serving a customized menu buffet-style, and teardown following your event. Whether you are having a wedding, reception, birthday party, awards dinner, or any other event, our catering team will let you focus on your event while we share some delicious Texas barbecue with your guests. All caterings feature our smoked meats, homemade sides, drinks, bread, pickles, plates, and cutlery.
Group Meals (Pickup or Delivery)
Our group meals are the perfect fit for groups of 10 or more. We will provide all meats sliced and ready to serve, along with options to include our delicious sides and drinks. You can pick the food up at the restaurant in Lockhart or we can deliver to the Austin/San Marcos/San Antonio areas (delivery charges may apply). Group meals are the perfect solution for office parties, birthdays, Super Bowl parties, and more!
Special Events at the Restaurant
Host your special event at our Lockhart restaurant - home of our delicious barbecue for over 77 years! We have a divided room which can hold 40 people or you can reserve the entire restaurant. Please contact us using the form below to discuss availability and other details.

Two Meats: $750 (serves up to 75 guests; $9.95 per additional person)
Portioned servings as opposed to our standard all-you-can-eat (included in other packages below); a single trip through our serving line
Meats: 1/4 pound of Post Oak Smoked Beef Brisket and 1/2 link of Edgar Black's Original Recipe Sausage
Sides: Potato Salad and Pinto Beans

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When will I need to pay for my catering?
All caterings will need to be paid for in full at least one week (seven calendar days) before the event. A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time the date is reserved. This deposit will apply towards the final bill.
How do I pay for my catering?
Black's Barbecue accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Your catering specialist will capture your payment information at the time the catering is booked, and can work with you to arrange either a lump sum or payments, as needed.
Is the food served hot? Does Black's have serving equipment?
Black's Barbecue has been catering for over 75 years, and we want the quality of the meat at your event to be the same as if you visited our restaurant in Lockhart. We have heating trays and other serving equipment available if we are catering your event.
Where does Black's Barbecue offer catering?
We at Black's are more than happy to cater groups of 75 people or more in and around Lockhart (Luling, New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Kyle), Austin, Round Rock, and San Antonio. If you have a big enough group we can go anywhere in the United States - simply contact us for more information.
Is the meat cut at the event or prior to your arrival?
Typically, about half of the meat is cut before the event, as it helps to speed up the buffet line. However, we can always cut all of the meat at the time of an event. Keep in mind it will take longer to serve all of your guests.
Can I get a catering plan or quote that is different than the standard ones listed?
After over 75 years in business, we understand it is impossible to have catering plans that fit every group or event. If you are interested in a customized quote, simply contact us and we'll be happy to discuss the details with you.
Can Black's offer something that isn't on the menu, like Tex Mex?
Although we are pretty partial to barbecue, we can absolutely offer different types of food upon request. We have some of the best cooks in Lockhart on staff, and are willing to work with you to make your event a success.
