Black’s Barbecue and Via 313 recently teamed up for a limited-time collab that combined true Texas BBQ and Detroit-style pizza, and it was everything food dreams are made of!
Picture this: Black’s juicy beef brisket piled on Via 313’s thick, crispy pizza crust to create brisket pizza. Fans in the Austin area devoured every bite, and even though the collab is over, you can still relive it through this Instagram video.
Barrett Black, fourth-gen pitmaster at Black’s Barbecue, took a trip over to Via 313 to build his very own Ol’ Smokey Pizza. He piled on the shredded cheese, made sure to sprinkle enough brisket to get a piece in every bite and finally sliced it into four square pieces.
It was mouth watering.
The collab wasn’t just about great food — it was a true hit with the community. Social media buzzed with excitement, with fans leaving rave reviews. One viewer exclaimed, “A marriage of awesomeness!!! ?” while another chimed in with, “Holy moly!!!! Where can I get this!?”
The BBQ-Pizza Mashup’s success left many hungry for more (pun intended!). And though it’s no longer available, both Black’s Barbecue and Via 313 continue to offer their iconic flavors. Who knows? Maybe another collaboration is on the horizon!
